Unfortunately our first impression of the property wasn't great. We had two crawling babies in our group, and their hands and knees were black after touching the floors for two minutes. It was evident that the floors had not been cleaned prior to our stay. The window sills and baseboards looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a year, the master shower was covered in orange hard water stains and brown mildew, the kitchen cabinets were covered in food/drink splatter, and the ceiling corners were filled with little bugs. The level of cleanliness was not what you would expect for a high end property. It was more like a 2 star hotel. We also found a dead cockroach in one of the extra bathrooms that we weren't using. We contacted the property manager and they did send over a housekeeper to clean the floors and kitchen. Since we were already there, we didn't want her to spend all day cleaning the baseboards, etc.
Now for the positives. The layout of the house is great for a big group, the kids loved the pool, adults loved the hot tub, and the beach is absolutely gorgeous. We loved riding the bikes on the beach and the beach is also dog friendly. The house was stocked with plenty of beach towels, beach toys, bikes, etc. which was great. The kitchen was also well stocked, but you should bring any ingredients you need for cooking (even salt/pepper). The location is great because you can walk to restaurants, the ice cream shop and the beach shop. We had a great family vacation!
